Topaz Hotel Services hosts Eurasian Delegation to forge newly Emerging buisiness trade

July 26, 2006, Oakland, California – Topaz Hotel Services (THS) accepted an invitation by the US Department of Commerce and International Trade Administration to host a round table meeting with delegates traveling from Uzbekistan, participants in the Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) Group Program on hotel management, which started out in Washington, D.C. this May and June.  Program topics were designed to aid the delegation of representatives in the US travel industry’s business management models and to improve commercial opportunities within the international tourism industry.

An impressive representation from fledgling democratic countries at the SABIT training included delegates representing hotel properties in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Delegates, accompanied by their guide and translators visited the corporate headquarters of Topaz Hotel Services – San Francisco and Silicon Valley Reservations in Oakland, California to explore topics such as new Web Portal technology, development of refined hotel searches by customers, and Voice Center reservation processing, all topics that THS is well known forwithin the travel industry. During this exciting meeting, new and promising cross-cultural business relationships were forged between THS and the blossoming entrepreneurs.
